M3 Max for local use

Wanted to compare notes with people doing similar things.

I'm mostly working with Phi in Ollama on M3 Max. The part I'm trying to understand is prefill/decode split.

Not looking for the perfect answer, mostly what worked in real use.

Did a small comparison this afternoon. The issue went away once I changed one setting and restarted the stack cleanly.
