when video is still not worth the wait - bytehall - 08-31-2026 Posting this in case it saves someone else a little time. I'm not trying to build a perfect architecture diagram. I just want a sane starting point around llama.cpp and Threadripper box. I'm especially interested in mistakes worth avoiding. I care more about stability than squeezing the last possible tokens/sec out of it. Re: when video is still not worth the wait - plainember52 - 08-31-2026 What worked for me was pretty simple. On A6000, the easiest win is often to back off the aggressive settings and see whether the problem survives. I got better results once I stopped chasing one metric and just looked at whether the workflow felt usable. Re: when video is still not worth the wait - audiodesk - 09-06-2026 I don't think that's the whole story. The reported numbers can look compelling, but in ordinary usage I didn't see the same benefit. Not saying you're wrong, just that I wouldn't lock that in as the lesson yet. |
