Re: LM Studio surprisingly handy - prompttinker44 - 09-25-2026 A couple questions before I guess too hard. Do you see the same thing with a smaller batch or shorter prompt? Re: LM Studio surprisingly handy - latentscope35 - 09-26-2026 What exact setup are you running? What model, what runtime, and roughly what context size? Re: LM Studio surprisingly handy - vectorhouse71 - 09-26-2026 I'd approach it in a boring order. Start by verifying the driver/runtime combo, then test with a smaller prompt, then look at long context. Once you know the plain path works, then add the faster path back in piece by piece. Re: LM Studio surprisingly handy - localcraft17 - 09-26-2026 I tested this tonight. I couldn't reproduce the slowdown until I pushed context much higher. Re: LM Studio surprisingly handy - latentscope35 - 09-28-2026 What worked for me was pretty simple. If you're on vLLM, I'd confirm the version first and then reduce variables until the behavior is obvious. Not glamorous advice, but repeatable baselines save a lot of time. |
