release notes that matter - routecraft - 10-15-2026

Spent some time on this today and wanted to compare notes.

Two paths both seem viable, but they break down differently once batch size becomes important.

Interested in tradeoffs more than fan loyalty.

For context, I'm not chasing leaderboard numbers. I mostly want the system to feel consistent day to day.

worth checking the driver first.

I'd approach it in a boring order. Before rebuilding anything, I'd test one clean baseline with FLUX and compare from there.

Re: release notes that matter - routecraft - 10-15-2026

Interesting, I hadn't tried that. The pattern around embeddings has been pretty similar for me. The biggest change for me was simplifying the stack instead of adding one more optimization layer.

A couple things I'd check first. If you're on Ollama, I'd confirm the version first and then reduce variables until the behavior is obvious. Not glamorous advice, but repeatable baselines save a lot of time. I keep promising myself this is the last rebuild.

Good point. The pattern around NVFP4 has been pretty similar for me. I got better results once I stopped chasing one metric and just looked at whether the workflow felt usable.

Thanks, that helps. I ended up in about the same place using llama.cpp. The biggest change for me was simplifying the stack instead of adding one more optimization layer.

Re: release notes that matter - routecraft - 10-18-2026

Maybe, but I had the opposite result. The reported numbers can look compelling, but in ordinary usage I didn't see the same benefit. Not saying you're wrong, just that I wouldn't lock that in as the lesson yet.

worth checking the driver first.

Thanks, that helps. I don't think your conclusion is far off. Worth rechecking your defaults though, because one bad assumption can make the rest of the thread look confusing.
